Rabate ou Rabat (ar-Ribat الرباط em árabe) é a capital de Marrocos. Localiza-se na costa do Atlântico a 34°1'60" N , 6°49'60" W. Tem cerca de 1550 mil habitantes. Tornou-se cidade imperial em 1660 e foi a capital do protectorado francês de Marrocos entre 1912 e 1956.A Cidade está localizada no Oceano Atlântico na foz do rio Bou Regreg. Na face norte do rio, situa-se a cidade de Salé, o dormitório de Rabat. Ambas as cidades totalizam uma população de 1.3 milhões.

It is also the capital of the Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer region.The city is located on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg.
